The Cheese Lady Rochester is owned by a team whose experience is truly international!
Kimberly Judd and Barbara Marriner are partners in the store that opened in 2016. Showcasing an extensive cheese selection, wide knowledge of cheese pairings and the highest level of customer service, Kimberly and Barbara feel blessed to share their enthusiasm with customers each and every day.

Kimberly describes her motivation to own a cheese shop stemming from both her childhood experiences and European travels “I fell in love with cheese as a young girl when my mom would bring home wonderful cheeses from the local butter shop where she worked. My travels in Europe inspired my love for a whole new world of cheese. One day, on a trip with my mom and sisters, we stumbled upon a quaint little cheese shoppe that I fell in love with. That became the beginning of the dream to open up my own store filled with delicious, European and artisan style cheeses”.
Barbara is from the UK and moved to Rochester with her family back in 2017. Looking to use her consultancy experience in a small local business, she was delighted to see an opportunity that also utilized her love of cheese “I feel like I’ve found my dream job, where I am lucky enough to meet customers that share both my excitement for cheese and my fascination for the science of cheesemaking”. Barbara became a partner in 2021.
